Bromley Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing was once seen as something of an unknown quantity. However, social media marketing is now big business and a mainstream activity for businesses of all sizes. Ignore social media marketing at your peril.

Huge businesses, household names like McDonalds and Pizza Hut spend a lot of time and invest a great deal of money boosting their presence in social media. To an extent, business has followed all of those people on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter* and brought their business proposition to the fore.

Equally people invest a lot of time on their social media networks and where large volumes of people are found, the advertisers will follow.

There's a simple secret with social media marketing and that is not to market. What? Not market? What's the point? The answer is to engage. We engage by offering free web resources, items which will be of value to the online recipients.

People don't want big companies spamming their mailbox. But where people can opt in to an advantageous relationship with any company, that is bound to build positive brand awareness. The other derivative benefit of the opt in culture is to generate free web site traffic which will positively effect your Google/search engine rankings. My web sites have lots of free resources and they are updated regularly.

Social media projects are not a 1/2 day experiments. They are long haul social engagements. Social media marketing is an art. Get it right and your audience will love you. Get it wrong and the internet can be a hostile environment.

This is a big subject. You must have an attractive and sticky web site which will encourage your target audience to return regularly. You will also need to be made aware of blogging and its benefits as well as niche article marketing. You need to be found and seen in as many places on the web as possible.

Creating a web site that meets your customer needs and has good search engine optimisation is a tricky balance which can be achieved with hard work and some trial and error. I am lucky that I come from an IT background have managed to keep up to date with all the nuances of SEO requirements and social media marketing. As somebody who meets these challenges susccessfully every day on this and other web sites, I would appreciate your call.

* There are lots more social networks than those specified in the second paragraph.
