Communication is key to success. I'll repeat that. Communication is key to success.

Ask any policeman, nurse, doctor, fireman - anybody involved in the emergency services.

In certain situations, good communication saves lives and assists in the prolonged quality of life. Poor communication, well, I don't want to talk about it here.

In a business context, there is no point having great ideas or concepts if you cannot convey those ideas and concepts to your target market.

If you are managing a busy team through turbulent business waters, it takes a steady hand on the tiller and a strong personality to steer the boat.

Occasionally, we have to change course, or even make a u-turn. Those type of decisions need to be conveyed coherently to the team so that everybody knows what they are doing and why. By explaining succinctly why plans have been reprioritised, you'll find that your staff are much more likely to buy in to the change and support it.
